Growing up, fishing was always second nature to Emilie Björkman (@emilie.bjorkman). Her parents passed along a love of the outdoors and water, setting in motion a lifelong passion that would come to define her: fly fishing for Baltic salmon on the wild rivers of northern Sweden.

Through her eyes, we track a species that has faced existential challenges in recent decades, and we meet just a few of the individuals who have spent their lives pursuing and advocating for these fish.
