Protecting biodiverse fish populations means protecting the ecosystems they rely on. In Tongyeong, South Korea, jalpi are massive seagrass beds where up to 160 species of fish lay eggs and rear their young. Jalpi support healthy marine life and responsible fishing, but as the climate crisis and industrialization worsens, one man stands up for these forgotten underwater meadows.

Watch the new Patagonia Films documentary “Jalpi” at the link in bio.
