Much of life is a mysterious mixture of the two. @hisstorythemusical in Dallas closed this past weekend much sooner than we expected. I told someone yesterday that we’ve been through the 5 stages of grief. I said it with a laugh, but it was actually true. We’re hopeful for what God has for it next; but sad to have to close up the tent. I want to say a huge thank you to all who were a part of it, actors, director, creative, sound, staff, crew…every single person who worked so hard night after night to tell His Story! Thank you to all who came out to see it. To those who told us with tears in their eyes what it meant to them. To those who wrote the beautiful reviews online about how it touched them. To all of you who prayed with us, worshipped with us. Many came multiple times, bringing friends and family to be moved, and forever changed by the story of Jesus. He came not for the healthy, but for the sick, not for the righteous but the sinners (Luke 5:31,32) The people He called to follow Him were not who you would have expected. Some believed and followed, accepted His love and grace, others didn’t. He was not what the religious people of the time expected. He was tempted by the evil one to take the easy way but He didn’t. He came to show His love for us all. He died as the sacrifice for our sins. He was raised from the dead so that we can have eternal life with Him. We’re in a difficult time in our world today. I believe Jesus is the way. I’m thankful to @anna_miriam_brown for this beautiful piece of art about His life, thankful for every single person we met and have come to know along the way, so thankful to have gotten to be a small part of bringing it to Dallas and prayerful and hopeful that more get to see it in the future!」6月24日 10時57分
