The scenic road along this dramatic body of water—home to extreme tides and glacial mudflats—connects the city of Anchorage with Homer, Seward, and smaller towns on the Kenai Peninsula. Even as a lifelong Alaskan, I find the views along Turnagain Arm to be a frequent source of awe—the landscape never looks the same twice.
