Rick Owens staged his explosive SS24 menswear show in the courtyard of the Palais de Tokyo, set against a backdrop of fireworks. The collection was an ode to joy, with a razor-sharp collection in what the Rick called “Drama Queen black.”
In his own words: “With our world conditions under increasing threat, jubilant seems like the wrong note but maybe it’s the only correct moral response? Beyond being nice to each other, isn’t personal joy what we are put on earth to do?”
