#Juneteenth is a day for reflection and learning to understand our country’s unfortunate history and commemorate emancipation for our African American brothers and sisters. There’s still much more work to do. “Freedom is a constant struggle,” as Angela Davis tells us. In 2021, President Biden finally established today, Juneteenth as a federal holiday. I hope you are using your day to reflect on the meaning and history of the day. Here's my “Peace and Freedom Dove” work which I’ve used in various iterations to advocate for peace and freedom.⁠
