Thank you @tanya.melendez.fashion and @m.marra.alvarez for putting this together, and it will be on display until November 12. The exhibit shows that despite stereotypes, there is no one Latin style. Latin American fashion can be elegant and glamorous, but also intelligent and brave. It can tap into indigenous heritage and craftsmanship, speak to modern politics and gender, and find inspiration in high art or pop culture. To see the work on display last night was to witness the rich diversity of Latin America, with its many different cultures, languages, races, and ethnicities.
