Last night was a night I will remember forever. The energy in the #ELLEWIH room was unmatched, almost as if there was a divine presence in the room with us. Thank you, to all of our honorees, for your stories of resilience, change, accomplishment, and sisterhood. You bared your souls with moving, impactful speeches and words…and @tasiasword, thank you for bringing the gift of song to our stage.

This is my favorite night each year because there is immense power in community. There is something so unique about our stories, laughing together, and uplifting one another with your friends, your castmates (thank you, @オプラ・ウィンフリー, for presenting the cast of @thecolorpurple with their awards), or even your family (#gretalee).When we bring women together to celebrate one another’s accomplishments and listen to their hopes and dreams, I do truly believe we can change the world. Our Icon Award receipient @ジェニファー・ロペス put it well: ‘Why can’t we do all the things?’ I will always believe that we can, that all of you can, that I can.”
