The film follows conservationists Kristine and Doug Tompkins on an epic, decades-spanning love story as wild as the landscapes they dedicated their lives to protecting. Along with Rick Ridgeway and Yvon Chouinard, this tight-knit group—the original dirtbag climbers, skiers, and surfers—defined a way of life and the ethos for the outdoor adventure and climbing worlds. "Wild Life" explores the power of love and lifelong friendships forged in the mountains as well as finding meaning and how we choose what to hold dear. Here are some of the landscapes in Chile and Argentina contained in the 15 million acres @tompkins_conservation has helped protect and preserve. The efforts of Doug and Kris culminated in the biggest private land donation in history, which helped to create or expand 17 national parks during their 25 years of conservation work.
