Truth be told, I’ve battled with my body image throughout my entire career. From the relentless comments about weight to the societal pressure to fit into a certain mold, it felt like an endless struggle.

Throughout my career, my body endured the demands of training, competing, and even the scrutiny of others, including coaches and fans. Yet, it also achieved incredible feats. It won medals, explored the world, nurtured life through motherhood, and gave me moments of pure joy. This body has done remarkable things, and it deserves love and appreciation.

Retirement has brought new challenges as I navigate training and lifestyle changes. It’s a process of finding balance and rediscovering self-worth beyond appearance. Some days are easier than others, but what truly matters to me now is prioritizing my physical and mental health.

I’m learning to silence the external voices and embrace the power of self-love. Every inch, curve, and imperfection tells a story of strength, resilience, and growth. It’s time to celebrate the beauty of our bodies in all their forms and recognize that our worth extends far beyond our physical appearance.

So, here’s to a journey of radical self-acceptance, embracing the softer parts, and cherishing the incredible things our bodies have accomplished.
