Samuel, an “architecture fanatic” (and founder of @acoldwall and @sr.asr.a) says his interiors style is “as stark as physically possible”. If you’re familiar with his utilitarian designs, this won’t come as a surprise. But here, at his house in the East Midlands, it doesn’t feel stark, but serene and sanctuary like. After the birth of their first daughter, Samuel and his wife, Jennifer, started looking for a family home to put down roots in the countryside. Since 2019, having bought a Victorian house in the town he grew up, the designer has been lovingly renovating its rooms.
