It took me a minute to adjust to being back in Chicago after my trip to Galveston Island. #ad I missed the island’s leisurely pace and the quiet. Their saying there is “it’s island time” and I was all for it. While I enjoy a lot of activities on vacation, I also want to take it easy and relax. I’m happiest when I slow down and enjoy the present. I had so many good moments there and am looking forward to returning. I had no idea about this destination treasure until I started researching it. My initial thoughts of expectation and what we experienced were worlds apart.
