The COVID-19 pandemic has fuelled the largest backsliding in childhood vaccinations in three decades. Due to lockdowns and strained healthcare systems, tens of millions of children have missed out on routine vaccines, exposing them to deadly, preventable diseases.

67 million children around the world have missed critical vaccines that can save their lives, fuelling outbreaks of diseases like measles and polio. If governments don’t act now to reach these children, the outbreaks could spread, and thousands could die.
No child deserves to die because they missed a simple vaccine. No disease should make a comeback because of the pandemic.
