タロンガ動物園さんのインスタグラム写真 - (タロンガ動物園Instagram)「Last week, our conservation team travelled to Kosciuszko National Park to release 532 Southern Corroboree Frog eggs that were produced through our Conservation Breeding Program.🐸 To increase the success rate of the release, a number of strategies were used including releasing eggs into wild pools, artificial pools at wild sites and into the large, disease-free fenced enclosures located in remote parts of the alpine national park. The release was done in partnership with @nswenviromedia's Saving our Species program, with partners including Melbourne Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary also supplying eggs from their breeding programs. The Southern Corroboree Frog is listed as a critically endangered species due to a fatal disease caused by fungus, as well as the impacts of climate change. The aim of our Conservation Breeding Program is to help rebuild wild populations, and we remain committed to doing everything we can to secure a future for this iconic species in the Snowy Mountains. #forthewild」4月27日 8時00分
