Life is good when you’re basking in the glow of a sunset at California Coastal National Monument. The monument provides nesting habitat for an estimated 200,000 breeding seabirds and thousands of marine mammals, including harbor seals and California sea lions.

Thanks to funding from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the monument expanded at the Point Arena-Stornetta unit providing visitors with spectacular views of coastal bluffs, sea arches, tide pools, sandy beaches and dunes and eight miles of marked paths.
