Here’s a bit from Colleen... “Like many of my generation I was a Bowie freak as a teen and his sixth studio album released 50 years ago this month was one of my faves, especially the incredible piano playing by Mike Garson on the title track and Lady Grinning Soul. I was so obsessed, I even did a pretty darn good pencil sketch of the album cover which I later threw out in a moment of embarrassment. I’ll be joined by the album’s co-producer Ken Scott to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Aladdin Sane for a Classic Album Sundays session in the Elgar Room on Monday 24th April 2023 at 7:30pm.” Ken will share the stories behind the album followed by a vinyl replay on world-renowned audio brand Bowers & Wilkins flagship 800 Series Diamond loudspeakers, used as reference monitors in some of the world’s leading recording studios, including Abbey Road Studios, over the past 40 years.
