ニュージーランド政府観光局は、世界最大のダイビング教育機関であるPADI®と提携し、ニュージーランドの魅惑的な水中を紹介する「マーメイド・ダイビング」の動画を公開しました。この映像は、世界各国のPADI®マーメイド公式チームメンバーが、ノースランドにある世界有数のダイビングスポット、プアー・ナイツ諸島の海洋保護区を探索する様子を捉えたものです。

ニュージーランドでは、特有の自然豊かな楽園を持続させるため、国内に44の海洋保護区を設定し、生物多様性の保全のため、漁業、海洋生物の捕獲、採取、撹乱を禁止しています。

「マーメイド・ダイビング」は、海洋保護の重要性を訴え、推進することで、海そのもの、そして海を故郷とするすべての生命への深い配慮を示し、保護活動に関わる人々をサポートしています。

Tourism New Zealand has partnered with PADI®, the world's largest diving education organization, to release a "Mermaid Diving" video showcasing New Zealand's enchanting underwater world. The video captures official PADI® Mermaid team members from around the world exploring the marine sanctuary of the Poor Knights Islands, a world-class dive site in Northland.

New Zealand has established 44 marine protected areas throughout the country to sustain its unique natural paradise, and prohibits fishing, harvesting, and disturbance of marine life to conserve biodiversity.

Mermaid Diving demonstrates a deep concern for the ocean itself and all life that calls it home, and supports those involved in conservation efforts by advocating and promoting the importance of marine conservation.
