April 22 is Earth Day. A day when we evaluate where we are with our sustainability goals. One of the products we’re most proud of is SHISEIDO Eudermine. By introducing advanced production processes, we’ve reduced CO2 emissions throughout the entire supply chain, from raw-material procurement to use and disposal. And thanks to product refills, plastic disposed of after use has been cut back by 92%. Our name, Shiseido, comes from the I Ching, the classic Chinese text that reads, “How wonderful is the virtue of the earth, from which all things are born.” From our founding until now, we’ve made it our mission to create sustainable value. From now and into the future, we’ll continue to strive toward the realization of a sustainable society in which people can experience happiness through the power of beauty.
