On this day, April 14th, in 2016, we were in the middle of shooting the car park car chase and shootout scene in Downtown Atlanta for 'Baby Driver'. It was Day 3 out of a four-day shoot for this intense sequence.

Towards the end of the day, young @EizaGonzalez approached me and said, 'Hey, your birthday is next week. You're a Prince fan, aren't you?' I replied, 'Of course! I love Prince.' Then Eiza said, 'He's playing tonight at the Fox Theatre and I got you a ticket as an early present.’ I asked what time it was, and she said it was the second show at 10PM. I said that might be a bit late, but thanked her for her kindness and said I'll think about it and let her know on wrap.

Knowing how much work I had to prep for the last day, and how tired and wired I already was, as soon as I got in my car to go home, I thought aloud, 'I can't go to a concert tonight. Prince or not.'

So I didn't go. Eiza went along to the show with Hamm and Ansel, as well as some of our amazing crew including @Leojt, @wgasparovic, @courtneydirects and @stasiamags.

Readers, I missed the last show that Prince ever performed. If I could go back and be a bit tired on the last day of this scene to see his final concert, I would in a heartbeat.

A few days later Prince very sadly passed away. I'm lucky I had already seen him live in concert when I was 18 (my second concert, in fact), as I would have felt even more insanely foolish for saying no.

In summary, always say yes.

I miss this crew and I miss Prince.
