カンディー・ジョンソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (カンディー・ジョンソンInstagram)「I had no idea this would be one of my favorite Easters or that my dad would go to heaven 2 months after these pictures were taken… Thank you for even caring to read this and listen to me share my heart & story of my dad with you❤️🥹 It was Easter of 2012, and I remember my dad and I laughing so hard in shock after we got the bill for our Easter brunch buffet! We never asked how much it was before and ended up being something like $150 or $175 a person! We were laughing so hard my dad said we needed to stay there until we were hungry again😂 I love the picture of him holding tiny, sleeping Ellie in his big, grandpa arms in church, beaming with love. My dad loved Jesus and one of he favorite songs he’d sing was “this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine, way beyond the blue”. The blue sky that is, to heaven. I thought my dad would always be around to help me and hug me and make all his grandkids laugh. We didn’t know that when we sat in church that day, listening to how Jesus died, so that the fearful sting of death would be removed and by believing in Him we have the assurance of knowing we will go to heaven…that my dad himself would go to heaven two months later. An accident, cutting an artery in his arm, just hours before he would’ve been picking me and the kids up from the airport took his life. He just went to help a friend move, and had no idea he would be going to heaven that day instead. Every day is not promised. Accidents like that happen. Sickness happens. Tragedy happens. I hope I get to hug you all in heaven if I don’t get a chance to on Earth❤️ I’m not trying to get religious on anyone, but I just sure hope you all get to know the freedom of guilt, shame or any hopelessness and you each get the overwhelming love and hope that Jesus is waiting to fill your hearts with❤️ I miss my dad everyday, but my hope and comfort is knowing one day, I will run to him, my earthly father and Jesus, our heavenly father in heaven❤️ I love you all so very much.
