We are de-LIGHTED to announce that we have become the first zoos in NSW to be powered by 100% renewable electricity 💡

Thanks to a partnership with @redenergyau, Taronga Zoo and @tarongawesternplainszoo have significantly reduced our carbon footprint - each year the weight equivalent of about 300 humpback whales will no longer be released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide! 🐳

Climate change is a key threatening process that has an impact on many of Australia’s unique flora and fauna, with more 1,900 species on the brink of extinction.

Renewable energy such as solar and wind emit little to no greenhouse gases, so switching to clean energy like GreenPower is one of the most impactful ways that businesses and individuals can help secure a future for all animals!
