In 2011 I was sitting in the back of my high school Calculus classroom when I checked my blackberry (admitting it here, I was not a very engaged Calculus student…) and saw an email from Greg Thomsen, @adidasterrex - looking to sign the first North American climber to the Adidas brand. It was a dream come true and Adidas has played a major role in my career since. They have been a partner of mine through my championship wins, my balance of being a professional athlete and a student @Columbia, a partner in my expeditions, and a resource to help me get through major injury and come back.
