Like many animals, elephants have a preference between right and left when it comes to which tusk they predominantly use. It turns out that appendage preference, known as handedness, is common across a wide spectrum of animals. Unlike humans however, where roughly 85% favor being right handed, the percentage for most animals is closer to 50-50. You can see it hat this Ele here is a righty based on the visible wear and tear of the tusk. Filmed at @jabulanisafari in 2018
