A newly born #GiantAntEater pup, clinging to moms back as she forages for termites in Brazil’s #Pantanal. Notice how the patterns of mom and her pup perfectly align to create a camouflaged appearance from predators, creating an illusion of shape and form that this ant eater as one animal. A full grown giant ant eater is highly capable of protecting itself from Jaguar’s or Puma’s, however their pups are quite vulnerable, making this camouflaged appearance critical for survival.
