On staying energized and taking care of my body and my mind so that I can best take care of my baby girl. Here’s what I focused on: . ✨first and foremost, keeping up my supply which meant eating enough calories until I was done exclusively pumping (didn’t happen until Oct 2021) ✨ keeping my body moving in that time via 2-3 @fitbodyapp strength sessions a week and no cardio (you can do cardio if you want, some women may just need to eat back any cals you burn if you’re needing to keep up supply!) ✨ Once I finally weaned, I started tracking my macros and went into a slight deficit. ✨ I continued strength training via the @fitbodyapp but upped the number of sessions a week from 2-3 to 4 and added in a bit of cardio (roughly 30 mins a week with the exception of the 4 week run challenge which was 90 mins a week) . Last but not least, I focused on just doing what I could in the moment. Several days that was getting a little more sleep vs getting a workout in. Several days it was channeling Robot Mode because I knew my workouts would give me the energy I desperately needed. 😅😴 . Only you can find that balance between which days you channel Robot Mode and which days you cut yourself some slack 🙏 this is how you make this journey sustainable. No extremes. No all or nothing. It’s knowing that this journey won’t be perfect and that’s ok! Just do what you can do today ❤️ . This next year I’m hoping to focus on increasing my cals, focusing even more on strength and performance, and of course, keeping up with the little one 🥰 wish me luck!! 😅✨ .
