Last week I decided to drive alone to Utah from Northern California for the Ironman championships and set up a booth for my company. I’m aware that “getting yourself out there” is one of the most important things you can do to get brand recognition & grow as a new company. So after deciding to make the trek, and fully acknowledging that this would be a solo trip (Evan had to be out of town)… I rented a truck the next day, threw a tub in the back, drove 10 hours to a place I’ve never been before, to partake in an event I was unfamiliar with, to run a booth I’ve never ran before. Thank god AJ (our Chief Coaching Officer) was able to be there or else I would have literally lost it lol. We successfully did the damn thing and the event comes to an end. 6 long days, I was loading up to initiate my drive home. Then I thought, we’ll damn… I drove all the way out here and worked my ass off, why not stay one more day and do something else a little more restorative and grounding. So I decided to stay one more day and hike a National park by myself for the first time. So I drove to Zion and had one of the most lively days ever. Met people from all over the world, walked thigh deep in the water, sat and observed the mountains, trees and animals. With no one else but my thoughts. Simple but lively. Not only was this whole experience a great success for the company, but probably more-so for my personal growth. I never in my life thought I would be okay doing something like that alone. Running an event like that without my partner, driving that far, sitting at restaurants alone a few nights, hiking a national park by myself, etc… I actually loved it and the growth that came because of it. So what did I risk for success & aliveness? Comfort and ease for sure, but in the end it left me feeling extremely empowered and way more confident in my abilities. #zion #ironman #utah #zionnationalpark #thenarrows #hiking #backpacking #nature #getoutside #grounding #freshair #breathe #sunshine #happy #femaleempowerment #bossbabe #entrepreneur #entrepreneurlife #entrepreneurship #femaleentrepreneurs」9月24日 6時46分 - jannabreslin
