#TBT to when I was on #SesameStreet and wrote for it! Thanks to @cathychilco who had hired me a couple of years earlier, right out of high school to write for a @CBC tv series, and thought of me for some of the live action segments for #sesamestreet #Canada …. #childrenstelevisionworkshop does a lot of research and development when producing the series…. I remember I was provided a #seriesbible that included many #lessons and #topics that they wanted to include …. The segment included #blendedfamilies #firstdayofschool #letterwriting ... the segment was about a pre-schoolers fear of first day of school and he wrote a letter to his big #stepbrother “Sam” who was going through the same thing in College …. When I wrote the script it was originally for a preschool boy and his big #stepsister but Cathy knew that I was acting, and suggested I play the role...… I remember I was a #UBC student at the time and we filmed across town at #SFU ….. the other student was Cathy’s son Christian who decided to be “Michael”… where did he come up with that improv!
