@gpbmadeit has been a huge inspiration for me, and I’m honored she’s my #FemaleFilmmaker. She wrote on A Different World, one of my favorite sitcoms growing up, and then later wrote and directed Love & Basketball, an iconic movie. It’s a romantic sports drama that I watch at least once a year. Later she made Beyond the Lights, and most recently, the hit Netflix action movie, The Old Guard. As a writer I’m inspired by how she can write in any genre (Romantic drama! Comedy! Action!), and as a director, she’s an actor’s dream. I love her, and can’t wait to see what she does next. Fingers crossed, even work with her one day. #FemaleFilmmakerFriday
