【Mt Tengu 👺】

It’s said that this long-nose goblin has the magical power to granted wishes and offer protection from harm to those who touch it, and you can find a giant statue on top of Mt Tengu!!

This mountain at Otaru is an absolute must-visit - the night view overlooking Otaru port itself is worth the ropeway ride! 🚠

Note that winter sports enthusiasts can also enjoy skiing (there’s a crazy slope over 40° for thrill lovers😵), for those who don’t, you can walk to a nearby shrine beautifully covered in snow in winter time. There’s also a ski museum, a cool cafe and a Tengu Hall where you get to see display of this legendary creature from all over Japan!! 👺
