If I trained hard enough than I would defeat that person because I had defeated the excuses that lived in my head. When I was younger I would often get angry and think I was there to defeat, to hurt them in the ring- it made me stiff and slow. I would fight at only a percentage of what I was capable. If lucky that percentage was enough. But I couldn't rely on luck, it wasn't consistent.
