Hair discrimination is a source of racial injustice with serious economic consequences for Black people.

Each day, many people go to work or school with the fear that they could be fired or be sent home, because of how they’ve chosen to wear their hair. This includes natural or protective hairstyles such as braids, locs, twists or bantu knots. This is the reality right now in 43 states across the U.S. and in Canada which lack legal protections to end this discrimination or fight back.
