This proposal is meant to protect women against trafficking and could come into force soon if approved. Having worked for six years on the issue of sex trafficking in South Asia, I find this extremely troublesome. If a government truly wants to prevent trafficking, it should sensitise and raise awareness about it. Then engage communities and bust organised nexus. Women have the right to move freely & decide for themselves and that shouldn't be taken away from them.
