As a follow up to my Route-Finding conversation with Alex Honnold a few months back, I want to talk about why I think solar and electric are the way of the future. I’ve been using solar panels in the backcountry and on my van for years because of how it as a power source, it allows me to go off the grid. I also have panels on my house and have rented an electric car for a road trip last February to see if we are at a point where electricity can power more of my land travel.
