**GOOD NEWS POST**

As someone who spends their life thinking and talking about climate change, I know I can sound like a broken record. Once you start to focus on the issue of climate it can be easy to get lost in all the negative news and hard to think about anything else.

With that in mind, I’m going to start making more of an effort to share things that make me feel hopeful - because recently there's been lots!!

In Joe Biden's short few weeks in office he has undertaken a dizzying series of radical decisions such as re joining the Paris Climate Agreement, cancelling the XL Keystone Pipeline and ensuring that a third of americas land and ocean are protected. 👏🏼

This type of leadership from one of the most polluting countries is a powerful message to the rest of the world that the time has come to step up and take action. 🙋🏼‍♂️

Last week I watched as activists I admire like @greengirlleah and @futureearth went live on Instagram with members of The White House. This is a huge step forward, and entirely credit to all those activists who have worked tirelessly to platform this issue. Credit is also due to the incredible @sunrisemvmt @intersectionalenvironmentalist @aoc and many many others! ✊🏼

And this week, Black Rock - the worlds biggest investment manager - threatened to sell shares in the worst corporate polluters stressing the importance of the 2 degree limit and an urgent transition to a net zero economy. 👌🏼

It goes without saying that these actions are just a first step in the right direction and certainly doesn’t mean we should let our guard down - not stop holding governments and cooperations accountable. That said, i'm learning that in order to practice resilience, it's important to take a moment to acknowledge the wins - however big or small. 💚

That's my good news update from this week. I'm going to try and do this more regularly both for my own and everyone else's sanity. 🤪 What's made your week/caught your eye?
