But by 6pm I always end up here.. in my comfy pjs, Balls deep in any left over Christmas chocolate, 3 gins in, watching crime docs & embracing my squish. Telling myself tomorrow is a new day, I’ll start tomorrow.. yes.. tomorrow is better 😂  Is anyone else struggling to motivate themselves this year?! Or am I alone in this toxic little game I play with myself? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Its just without the lure of girly weekends away, slinky dresses to squeeze into or the pressure of beach holidays I’m feeling somewhat deflated, abit ‘meh’.. I’ve spent the last couple weeks fighting this, lying to myself & promising I’ll be better tomorrow.. but actually I’m turning over a new leaf today.   This isn’t a normal new year, this hasn’t been your average 12 months & we need to recognise that & adapt to this new, unknown space we find ourselves in. Sometimes, the trials and tribulations of the last year require a wine, sometimes a day needs a cookie to get through & sometimes we just need to watch a Disney film & cry. Before we dust ourselves off & remind ourselves exactly who the f**k we are.   After a brief scroll on social media, you’d be forgiven for thinking everyone has their lives together- pictures of brisk early morning walks, fabulous arts & crafts projects, smiling children & lithe bodies fill my feed & it’s enough to make even the most productive person question themselves.  But am I here to tell you, that isn’t the truth for most people & it certainly isn’t my reality at the moment. If it’s taking you a little longer to find your stride this year- don’t panic, don’t be hard on yourself, it’s been a difficult 12 months.. & you are allowed to take a moment to process everything that’s gone on.
