Having such a project come your way can certainly be described like a dream coming true. It didn’t just visually appear like a chance to climb into the sky… The idea for this project had already existed between Red Bull and Domen for about five years, but things never came together as perfectly as in late 2020 for this to happen. The chimney was built in 1976 as part of a powerplant and at a height of 360 meters still is the highest in Europe. And although the powerplant was shut down in 2014 the chimney is still there and as high as ever. If you think it looks big on screen I can tell you it looks even bigger in real.
