When it comes to the world of JDM tuning, few names are more respected than @GreddyKenji - whether it’s in Japan, in California or anywhere else in the world.
Kenji Sumino is the president of @GReddyPerformance Products in Southern California and as you might expect he’s a mega gearhead, whose personal cars are just as cool as the ones his company builds.
We visited Kenji to chat about real cars and die-cast cars and asked him about his history with Hot Wheels - both as a kid growing up and the GReddy x Hot Wheels collaborations he’s been part of in recent years.
Kenji talks about some his most memorable builds that have immortalized in Hot Wheels forms, including the FuguZ Datsun he did with actor Sung Kang and he also shows us his own restored and modified EF Honda Civic hatchback which he calls his real life “Treasure Hunt” car.
Finally, Kenji shows us a preview the latest collaboration with Hot Wheels and GReddy - legendary JDM race machine wearing the name of an equally legendary tuning brand. #HotWheels
