Those hoping for a breath of fresh air this morning need look no further than Chanel's Haute Couture show. Presented in Paris' Grand Palais in front of a select (and socially distanced) front row, designer Virginie Viard bought femininity and intricacy to the forefront. In lush pastel pinks, crisp whites and dramatic blacks, models were adorned with floral crowns and sporting unfussy slick hair. And, of course, to cap off the occasion, the fabled Chanel bride made her appearance on horseback, in a delicately embroidered coat-dress, complete with a cathedral veil.
