This is a long overdue thank you to the incredible nurses on the 3rd Floor Covid unit at Mission Community Hospital. Your selflessness was awe-inspiring. Even though you were experiencing a war zone, you always took the time to give me updates on Shelley and facilitate FaceTime conversations with her. Thank you to Sonia, Daniel, Kenjala, Desiree, Jane, Emily, Millie, Claudia, Evelyn, Lady, Erika, Dorothy, Joel, & Austin. And a special thank you to Laurie, who was my sister’s nurse during her final two days and used her own cell phone to call me so I could say a final goodbye to Shelley on 1/14/21. Y’all were angels. I will never forget you.
