As climbers, we can fully appreciate that. Many of the climbing areas that we frequent have great historical significance. One such area in the United States, Hueco Tanks Historic Site, has been able to work side by side with the climbers to create a land management plan and reservation system that allows all types of people to recreate in the park as well as understand and appreciate the significance of where they are. I do believe that there is a way that climbers and Parks Victoria can come together to create a user plan that allows for the Grampians to be open to climbers. The Grampians is one of the top climbing destinations in the world and it would be devastating if climbers were not given a chance to prove that they can make a plan to keep this world renowned area open.
