🌲 post and beam with reclaimed wood 🌲

1. this is the ceiling of a room in my new home
2. the post-and-beam was salvaged from a cedar that came down in the 90s near where i live
3. the wood that will fill in the ceiling is all reclaimed from the deck of my old house
4. it’s a process called Shou Sugi Ban where you seal the wood by charring it. then we buffed it by hand (ourselves!).
5. wait till you see the finished product...!
