HBO's new Tiger Woods documentary, Tiger, manages to dutifully work in the major themes of his life, from the flagrant anti-Black racism he experienced as a child to his stunning wins and extreme ambition to his addiction and a comeback unforeseen by nearly the entirety of sports media. And yet, as Cassie da Costa writes in her review, there's a hole at the center of the two-part documentary. “It’s a huge task for filmmakers to do a rigorous excavation into the world of someone like Tiger Woods,” she writes for V.F.
