This traveler also took notice of how hard the monk was working. Similar to the last traveler, he asks, “Hi there Dear Monk, I stayed in the village in the valley last night and I am planning to head towards the village over the summit. What can you tell me about that village?” The monk wiped the sweat off of his forehead and asked, “How was the village you stayed at last night?” The traveler responds, “I couldn’t communicate with them well, but they offered me a place to sleep within their home. I insisted on sleeping outside but they made it clear that it would be safer if I slept closer to the animals. Although the village seemed a bit impoverished, the people were generous with their good hearts.” The monk cracked a smile and said, “Is that right?
