Storytelling by Dr. Yukari #1: “Two Travelers”
January 7, 2021

From our lives at home or at work, nearly every aspect of our daily life has been affected by the on-going pandemic that began in early 2020. We all must channel our power of resilience and flexibility to tackle challenges we will face in 2021.
For the New Year of 2021, Honolulu Myohoji will be offering a new outreach program including online therapeutic coaching sessions along with storytelling by Dr. Yukari.
Collected from all over the world, these stories are meant to help regain power and understanding and will be a part of “Dr. Yukari’s Zoom Lounge”. The collection of stories span from Buddhism and other religions along with fables, and real life stories from our communities. During this time, there are people taking to the internet to discuss and share current challenges.
We encourage you to take a moment to reflect and open yourself up to the wisdom teachings available.

One day, a man journeyed through a village in the valley and made his way towards a hill top village. The traveler had left the village in the valley a few hours ago. While he was walking, he passed by a monk working on a farm.

“How was the village you stayed at last night?”
