Endearing Nindiri 🐆

Best known for their presence in Central & South America, jaguars used to roam the southern United States, from California to Louisiana. It's even estimated four individuals have crossed into the United States from Mexico in the last 20 years.

But jaguars have been moving further south due to deforestation, mining, and cattle farms that overtake their wild habitats. Jaguars require large, non-overlapping territories up to 30 square miles! It's estimated there are only 15,000 jaguars left in the wild.
