SEED CYCLING🌱
Who else is seed cycling (or heard that term around a lot and is interested in giving it a try)? I started seed cycling to help bring more balance to my cycle and I absolutely love it. It’s an old Ayurvedic practice and the idea is that your body has different needs in the different phases of your cycle, and through eating specific seeds at different times you incorporate more of the nutrition you need when your body needs it most. In the follicular phase (the time from Day 1 of your period until you ovulate) you eat 1tbsp each of pumpkin and flax seeds every day, and in the luteal phase (the time from ovulation until your period begins again) you eat 1 tbsp of sunflower and sesame seeds. I grind mine up in the food processor and keep them in jars in the fridge so I can add to smoothies or use to top my yoghurt and oatmeal.
