Deep down, I was afraid to let go. I was afraid to let go of all the old limiting stories I had lived by. The words had long been embedded into my heart, and overtaken my very essence and the blood that ran through my veins.

And so I allowed myself to burn, to fall. To feel the pain of losing it all. Because I knew that it was in that moment of utter despair, that I’d be freed. Free of the mental and emotional chains that bound me and my will. That I would no longer be ill.

So just like that, I let go of what I once held dear. Instead of filled with fear, my heart and soul became lighter. I learned in letting go that some things are not meant to last forever.

And in this state of being, I feel free. Once again, my world of imagination welcomed me back. A place I find solace, a place for me that is lawless. Because this very existence is a gift. One that I humbly accept and can be enjoyed simply with a perspective shift.
