Earlier this year, Sergey Makhno Architects shared with us an apartment in Kyiv, Ukraine, designed with the Japanese concept of wabi sabi in mind, as a space for imperfect beauty to thrive. The Ukrainian Wabi Sabi 5.0 apartment leans heavily on the natural - natural light, natural materials, natural forms - and all the imperfections that come with it, utilizing clay and wood on the walls and floors and things like tree stumps and handmade ceramics as furnishings.
