I am reminded what a gift it is to be able to travel, and I look forward to that renewed sense of wonder once it is safe again. Until then, here are images from a meandering dusk wander through Istanbul, Turkey, a few years ago. This ancient city unfolds like a dreamscape and always reminds me of this Doctor Who quote summing up the spirit of travel: “There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea's asleep and the rivers dream. People made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold.
