For me, it was all an overwhelming experience for many reasons. One day the testing location changed and happened to be right next to an ice skating rink. As I waited on line to be tested, I watched the skaters glide across the ice. I realized I had started to cry. I use to escape onto the ice as a kid and lived for it. I would go all alone and skate until my feet were numb and painful. I didn’t care, it was pure joy. I wondered why I had forgotten how much I loved to skate. I wondered why I haven’t done something that brought me so much joy in years. Not enough time, Too frivolous, silly, way too many other important things to do? Why do we as adults forget to play as we did as kids? After I left getting tested I vowed to get back on the ice soon, as frivolous as it seems, especially now.
